911 Dispatcher Falls Asleep During Emergency Call

When a woman caller dialed 911 for help, she did not receive it right away because as she was speaking the dispatcher actually fell sound asleep.
As the male dispatcher listened to the woman describe how she had been robbed outside of her house and now heard a tapping on her window, the dispatcher stopped responding and started snoring!
So what is the punishment for an emergency dispatcher falling asleep on duty? He received a seven day leave from work, and his supervisor received a longer 20 day leave.
You can watch the video tape of the 911 call as was aired on The Nancy Grace Show on CNN. The snoring is hard to make out but it’s very clear at which point the dispatcher stopped listening and started snoozing.
