Six days after being hit by a cyclone, many Burmese residents are struggling to survive. With no food or shelter, nothing but contaminated water, and surrounded by disintegrating corpses, things are looking grim.

Living in such horrible conditions it’s imperative for the cyclone survivors health to receive foreign aid as soon as possible, but some international aid agencies are disappointed by the region’s slow response to the help that’s been offered.

As the death toll rises foreign aid workers ready to assist those so desperately in need, have to wait as visas are slowly being processed.

An astonishing 1.5 million people have been affected by the natural disaster. If you’d like to help the cyclone victims you can make a donation at DEC.org.uk.
