FLDS Individualized Custody Hearings Begin

Published by christyz under U.S. News Edit This

The Eldorado Texas Fundamentalist Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints polygamist parents are beginning individualized custody hearings today.

Over the next three weeks the hearings will take place at the Tom Green County Courthouse where the court will decide what it is that they need to do in order to regain the custody of their children, or whether their parental rights will terminated.

The children were taken by child welfare authorities from the FLDS Eldorado Texas ranch after a 16-year-old girl going by the name of Sarah called a domestic abuse hotline claiming that she was pregnant and suffering abuse by her much older husband.

Since no such teenager was ever found authorities are considering that the calls could have been a hoax. There are currently 463 Texas FLDS children in foster care.

Published by christyz under U.S. News Edit This

Larissa Schuster, 47, has been sentenced to life in prison today for the murder of her husband Timothy Schuster.

It is believed that Mrs. Schuster used her resources as a biochemist to place her husband in a chemical waste barrel which she filled with acid after knocking him unconscious.

She then stored the remains of the body in a rented storage unit. Timothy Schuster’s body was discovered a few days after the murder, still sealed in the barrel.

Larissa Schuster’s primary motive for the killing was monetary gain. After nearly two decades of marriage, she and her husband were going through a nasty divorce, including a custody battle over their only son.

Smart Car Receives High Safety Rating

Published by christyz under U.S. News, World News Edit This

1article_8245-img_0.jpg

The Smart ForTwo car, which measures only 8ft 10in long has earned the top rating from the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety for its front and side impact protection in crash tests.

The Smart ForTwo falls into the category of “microcar” and is the smallest vehicle that the Institute has ever tested.

Although the small car rated well in front and side impact, it didn’t make “Top Safety Pick.” Larger, heavier cars are considered to be much safer than this tiny two seater, especially when it comes to highway driving conditions.

Right now there are under 10,000 Smart cars on the road in the United States, but there are 30,000 Smart car enthusiasts waiting in line this year to get one of their very own. With list prices that range from $11, 590 to $16, 590, and big savings when it comes to fuel, this is one car that won’t break the bank.

Skimpy Choice Of Dress Ruins Prom

1marche_taylor1.jpg

When Marche Taylor chose her custom prom dress she had no idea it would create such a controversy that she would end up being escorted out of her Texas prom in handcuffs.

The gold dress that left little to the imagination definitely caught everyone’s attention. When she entered the lobby of the Sugar Land Marriot where her Madison High prom was taking place, she was immediately stopped by a school official and refused entry for being in violation of the school dress code.

When she began to argue the police were called and the Texas senior was led away in handcuffs. Although some people believe that school officials went to far, in one online poll it’s evident that the majority feels that Taylor’s skimpy dress was simply inappropriate for the occasion.

Today Show Highlights Complaints From Crest Pro-Health Users

1crestprohealth.jpg

P&G’s Pro-Health Rinse is creating an online buzz this week for all of the wrong reasons. The product promises to fight bad breath and plaque but some consumers are saying that it causes more harm than good.

A low percentage of users have complained that they have experienced tooth discoloration and some loss of taste after using Crest Pro Health Rinse.

The product has been on the market for three years and up until the recent NBC’s Today Show report there wasn’t much public awareness on any potential side effects.

The company has stated that millions of people have used their product with no ill effects and that 99.99% of consumers have no complaints.

This doesn’t help the fact that there have been legitimate complaints by a number of unhappy Crest Pro Health Rinse users and to top it off there are now rumors of a pending law suit.
