Celebrity chef Rachael Ray has been caught in a storm of controversy for a fashion choice made by a stylist during a Dunkin’ Donuts commercial shoot.
The advertisement that appeared on the web featured the talk show host in a fringed black and white scarf that resembles the black and white checkered Kaffiyeh which is the traditional Palestinian scarf.
The similar scarf represents murderous Palestinian jihad and has been worn by Muslim terrorists during hostage videos. Rachael Ray wearing the scarf in the ad suggested to some the symbolic support for Muslim extremism and terrorism.
Dunkin’ Donuts has made the decision to pull the ad and has stated that “absolutely no symbolism was intended.”

The Smart ForTwo car, which measures only 8ft 10in long has earned the top rating from the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety for its front and side impact protection in crash tests.
The Smart ForTwo falls into the category of “microcar” and is the smallest vehicle that the Institute has ever tested.
Although the small car rated well in front and side impact, it didn’t make “Top Safety Pick.” Larger, heavier cars are considered to be much safer than this tiny two seater, especially when it comes to highway driving conditions.
Right now there are under 10,000 Smart cars on the road in the United States, but there are 30,000 Smart car enthusiasts waiting in line this year to get one of their very own. With list prices that range from $11, 590 to $16, 590, and big savings when it comes to fuel, this is one car that won’t break the bank.

The recent rescue of a woman who was held captive by her own father for 24 years is one of the worst cases of child abuse that I’ve ever heard of, so brutal in fact that’s it’s practically inconceivable.
A 42-year-old Austrian woman who has been missing since 1984 has finally been located by police thanks to a tip they recieved.
Since the age of 11 she has been held captive by her father who repeatedly raped and abused her, forcing her to mother seven of his children, all while locked in the cellar of her home.
It is a story of horror that has shocked not only Austrians but people from around the world.
Although not much is yet known about the children which range from ages 5 to 20 years of age, the 19 -year-old daughter is currently in hospital in serious condition.

April 22 is Earth Day and many worldwide events have been taking place during the past week to raise public awareness on important environmental issues.
The first Earth Day was held in 1970 on the first day of spring. Although Earth day is celebrated each year, the concept is becoming increasingly popular as the world faces environmental challenges such as extreme weather conditions, including global warming.
If you are concerned with environmental changes and how they are affecting the planet, CNN’s Planet In Peril provides plenty of insight.
You can also visit the United States Environmental Protection Agency website where you’ll find helpful environmental tips to give you an idea of what types of changes you can make to protect the environment while you are at home, school, work, or even when you’re shopping.
WildLife.org is also a fantastic environmental website providing valuable information and a variety of great Earth Day tools for download.
No matter how you choose to celebrate Earth Day remember that small changes can make a big difference as was shown during recent Earth Hour demonstrations around the globe, where participants turned out the lights for one hour to reduce energy.
